L.Y.L.E. RAINY SEASON

mc enigma’s 4th project L.y.l.e. Rainy Season, was recorded and released in Panama City, Panama. Recapping his experiences, L.y.l.e. Rainy Season details mc enigma’s recovery after a break-up and infuses some spanish lyrics into the fray. L.y.l.e. Rainy Season is extremely jazzy and plays front to back with smooth transitions telling the tale of an emcee looking for love while lost in the wilderness of Panama.

The videos for singles "On and On" (left) and "C.H.U.C.H.A." (right) were both shot in Panama and feature partner in rhyme Bixop and Panama's own P.O.C.

EMAGIN

EMAGIN

Emagin, mc enigma's debut project is a well rounded.  Shuffling the letters of enigma, Emagin's title speaks to being able to rearrange your cards to make the best out of a situation or to imagine.  The boom-bap style production of Jersey based producer Dianetics provides most of the production for this project.

mc enigma writes:
" I am a journalist with a mic. If I wasn't writing and making music I'd probably be freelancing with DemocracyNow! or interning for Riz Khan on Al Jazeera. That might be in the plans, but until then, allow me to take you on quest, close your eyes, and "emagin."

S.A.R.A.H. (Someone As Real As Her) is mc enigma's second project which is a special dedication to an ex-girlfriend.  â€‹A narrative of love and loss. What was once a secret surprise gift and an attempt to rekindle a lost flame is now available for your listening pleasure.  This project is an open letter.  9 tracks of pure emotion.

The bittersweet undertone of the project makes it both optimistic and gloomy in love's eye.

"Right now I got records from One Be Lo, Big K.R.I.T., Danny Brown, and countless other emcees just sitting there, waiting to be heard. But you know who I got on repeat? An emcee out of New Jersey named mc enigma, whose 2011 record, S.A.R.A.H. (Someone As Real As Her), sounds like a â€‹dusty cassette tape from straight out of 1993, long lost… until now."
